iPad mini Retina display with yellow tint on right side!!!!

Brand new iPad mini Retina display, got it from Apple store first day it came out. Open it out of the box, there is yellow tint line on right side of the display. it's visible clearly on white back ground, especially with iOS7, calendar app and photo app. Anybody having the same issue with new iPad mini Retina?

I like Apple products - I have a Macbook Pro, Mac Mini, iPhone 5s, iPads 3 & 4th generation, and then tried the iPad Mini with Retina Display and had the yellow screen. That being said, I said to myself, why take a chance playing iPad Mini with Retina Display roulette when I can try something else instead? I just purchased a Google Nexus 7 2013 Tablet and I must say it is quite good! Android takes some getting used to but at less than half the price of the new iPad Mini, it is really a great buy and I'd highly encourage those with bad iPad Mini experiences to take a look at it; I paid $230 for a 32 GB wifi model. I'm really disappointed with the quality control at Apple lately - had to return the new iPad mini with retina back due to the yellow screen, the new iPhone 5s has bad muffled sound/speaker, my other iPads required me to play iPad roulette until I got a good screen, the Macbook Pro has light leak, etc. Please pay your workers more and treat them well so they can take pride in their work and create products worthy of your name.

i can not belive the yellow tint still exists... from all the problems i had with my first one i finally found my 10th one to be ok, yesterday i got one black ipad mini retina 32 gb in black for my dad... and i really thought apple would of fixed this problem by now... clearly not.. very very disapointed. both are ipad mini retina. clearly we can see which has the yellow tint.

Ozzy, is it an even tint? Or does it go from yellow to blue from bottom to top?

FWIW I was just happy to end up with one that doesn't have that horrible variation of yellow to blue.

My wifes ipad 4 has a cool white display, mine is a 'fraction' warmer side by side.

[EDIT: just brought mine to look and compare, mine is bloody brilliant compared to both of yours in those pics, I lucked out on my fifth!]

Did you know there is a paid for app available called 'color profiles' but it's not in the app store, you have to 'ahem' to get it 😉 I think it's only $1.99 about £1.25

It gives you the settings to simply change the screen temp perfectly. Have a look at it.

I'd try again! We got one that was the 1/3 yellow tint on home button side, top was slightly pinkish. It immediately jumped out at me the first time I brought up the keyboard. I was hoping it was something I could live with-- if you didn't look for it, and weren't on white pages.

However, I decided to play screen lottery... And won!! I returned the original one th last day of the return period and exchanged it for another. Fantastic! White screen, no yellow.

If it matters, the original serial # began with an F4LL and the latest good one with DXLM. However, everything I've read says that the serial # isn't key.

One other factor in all this... I do believe that the iOS keyboard with its grey background induces a yellow visual contrast on the white... Those sorts of visual effects are well known. Obviously, what's going on is much more than that, especially given that the keyboard will change colors when you rotate the device--the yellow remains with the home button. Best seen by using a split keyboard.

In any ever, we're just thrilled to have one that isn't showing yellow! (Now, if I could only figure out out to lose the grayish, shadowy, book spine effect on the iPad Air!
