iPad mini Retina display with yellow tint on right side!!!!

I think you should go back to the store and change device. Maybe it's a spot of glue. 😕

Mine is fine. I picked it up locally at my local Best Buy. This is one of the first things I checked and I was pleasantly surprized after reading of all the screen issues that the Air seems to be having. Taking it back and getting another one is about all that anyone here can suggest.

I got mine on launch day, it had a blue/black tint or hue on the top part of the screen. at night it was very visible. I exchanged for a brand new unit. This one is worse it has it on the top and both right and left sides! Im going in today for one last exchange and i want to see it in the store, and if its still a problem im getting my refund!

Having the same issue with mine. It goes from a purple tint on one half of the display to a yellow tint on the bottom, it is very noticeable and distracting. Also, the colors seem to be washed out and bland. I have another miniR coming in via FedEx, I'm going to check it out and if it has the same issue, I'm returning for a refund. I had an iPad AIR and that screen was gorgeous, I just couldn't get along with the size.

I love the form factor of the mini, but these screen issues is just too disappointing, specially for a $399 device.

Yup, I have the same problem. Using this greyscale http://www.epi-centre.com/charts/grey5pc1024x768.gif, shows the yellowish bottom of the screen. I try telling myself it's the image. However, when I rotate iPad mini, it's the same thing. Returned iPad Air for iPad mini Retina because of yellowish tint. Now, both have the same problem.

Mine has a yellow horizontal band on the lower part of the screen directly above the home button when held in portrait mode. The serial number starts with DLXLL. It's going back to Best Buy tomorrow.

Go to the Apple store and have it replaced. Don't accept less than the very best.

I got another mini today via FedEx, this one's straight from china. The display is much better and brighter, more uniform with no yellow haze. The colors are still washed out compared to my iPhone, but much happier with this one. Maybe only the first batch had bad displays.

Got one today, shipped directly from China, with a yellow hue on the bottom 1/3 of the screen. Also the top of the screen has a sort of book spine effect, though it looks a bit different than the known iPad Air issue with that.

Returned the first mini retina, got a second one from an Apple Store. No yellow hue but it had a very noticeable dark spot in the bottom right corner. Returned. Trying again with an online order.

Yup, got mine a couple of days ago and I have the poor saturarion problem and bow that i read this a faint yellow line above the home button :/

Don't waste another moment, return it.

I got my mini retina black two days ago, a bit less than two weeks after receiving the Air.

The screen is so gray it hurts. I have the same wallpaper and while the air pops out colors, the mini is dull and very disappointing.

But the worst issue I have is the tint of the screen. On one side, it's yellow, in the other it's red! And that's not due to IPS glow, as it's only a corner and not my perspective who does it. Any greyscale test shows how ridiculously heterogeneous my screen is.

Going to turn back both the Air and the Mini and look for some other manufacturer for my tablets henceforth.

I got my iPad mini retina Wifi 64 GB from UK and am noticing the yellow tint in the screen as well, up to a third of the screen above the home button is affected. Its a shame because the screen is very crisp and generally it is a great product to use but for the price this is completely unacceptable. Mine is going back to the store. Has anybody noticed if this is a fault that is widespread across all ranges of the mini retina? I would encourage all users to check this problem on their unit on a blank white screen (it may not be noticeable otherwise).

Mine too, certainly returning it, happy to pay a premium, as long as I get a premium product!
