ios 7.0.4 Update battery issue again!

I just did the update and after I unplugged from charging overnight my battery drained over 50% in a 1/2 hour on standby!!!! Why does this garbage continue to happen? Anyone else having this issue. FYI, before update I had everything turned off to save battery life so no stranger to the ios7 battery issue but thought it was not going to happen with an update.

iPhone 5, iOS 7

Hi Thanks for your reply What you say makes perfect sense and yes we have done that, It is currently reporting total use of 1.8 gig for current period on my phone but a total for all apps of 203 meg so it does not add up as you can see. I have had the data turned on today & the battery is dropping about 18% per hour but I can't for the life of me see where the use is, all I know is that it is cellular. I think E T may be phoning home Rob

This is really one case of maybe 5, that cause drain and usage/standby problem. I get this problem when watch video in safari on ipad. When i watch in private mode, there is no problem.

Now i think one more case is apple remote in itunes and remote app on my iphone. When i set it to off on itunes and delete app all is allright.

Olso turning autoupdates to off, then signing out from my apple id, then sign in to my apple id and then turning on autoupdates is helpfull for me.

Olso was helpfull to delete all music from iphone with desktop itunes and then copy all music for one more time.

Now problem is gone for me, but looks like it come back in any time. Maybe problem is in the case that i have 2 iphones, connected to 1 apple id? Someone have Plaque Inc.? Maybe problem with this game. First i get this problem when install this game on ipad and 2 iphones...

We do not use Microsoft Exchange & the guys who did not update to 7.0.4 do not have this issue, all of us who did do have the problem.

It is all a bit strange also Apple live chat gives us all a different story! some of us have been told there is no issue with the update, I and others have been told that there is an issue that Apple are aware of and that their people are working on it.

So who knows

I think I'm out of luck. My battery is draining fast even when cellular data is off. Sometimes the battery goes from 100% to 99% in one or two minutes. My iPhone is constantly heating, and I have already restored it as a new device; nothing has changed. I don't know if there is something wrong with iCloud, or with an app, what I'm sure is that everything was fine before updating to iOS 7.0.4.

I get the distinct feeling that Apple employees aren't supposed to admit that there are bugs. Only one of the many people I dealt with admitted that there were other people who had my problem, and when I pointed out that most Apple employees never allude to other customers having the same problem, s/he said "Oops!"

Whatever happened to, "Yeah, that's a bug. We'll have a patch for it in a couple of weeks." But we don't get patches, do we? We get "updates."

OK...after looking over everyone's posts about the celluar usages and such, i turned everything off that could use cell data. Phone was still using DNS. So, for giggles, I turned off LTE. NOTE: my phone was also taking FOREVER to charge back up sometimes staying or losing charge while using while plugged in. Anyway, with LTE turned off, the phone charged up in less than an hour, like it used to. I unplugged and took a screen shot of celluar usage and charge percent. So far i'm still at 100% and usage went from 434kb to 440kb in about 30 minutes. Before, it would have dropped 10% at least. Now I also have everyting else turned off. I'm going to give it about half hour and start using apps one by one. I'm thinking it the LTE. I had everything turned off before with LTE on and it still drained. I hope this is it. Now its still a workaround...apple will still have to resolve this...what good is LTE if devices need to be plugged in constantly.

Theory: It's normal to have a lower LTE signal... -114 is 1 bar(dot) seeing anything above -82 (three dots) is very rare for the area I'm in with LTE.

This phone will run for 15-18 hours on LTE/Wifi before I have to start charging it.

Just know 4G and LTE are not the same radio technology. So your signal measurement will vary quite a bit when changing between the two.

For battery life, this is about the maximum runtime for a 4S when on wifi-only.

So the cellular radio and signal strength will affect the runtime significantly.

Just went to the Apple Store. They ran their diagnostic and acused me of using Facebook at browsing the internet too much. I argued with them that this is not the case, even with all apps closed and my phone sitting on the counter my phone dies in 5 hours. She refused to listen, she looked at me like I was some kind of scammer. I asked to speak to her manager and even showed that in the 30 minutes I was there, my phone had drained 15%. They said they are standing by their technician and won't replace my phone because there is nothing wrong with it.

UNBELIEVABLY POOR SERVICE!!! So I'm **** out of luck then? $800 down the drain even though I have warranty? I don't think so.
