iPad won't sync icalendar
Just bought an iPad mini. Everything synced from my iPhone, including the calendar. Then all of a sudden, the I calendar will not sync with the iPhone calendar. Tried everything I can think of, with no luck.

Did you create a new event and assign it to the iPhone calendar?
I don't use iCloud nor do I want to upload my private information for Apple to hand over to the NSA. I'm more than a little shocked that I can no longer sync calendars through iTunes and the USB cable. Why would Apple remove this feature? I know why, but saying so will have one's post deleted.
Welcome to our brave new world.
I am back. sorry. I can create a new event on the phone calendar and it will sync across. I just can't see any old events. Well, actually one calendar will display but not the others. I have 4 with different names.
If they are all iCloud calendars make sure they are enable on the iPad.
Open the Calendar app, tap Calendars and make sure there are check marks next to all the calendars you want to show.
If they are from accounts other than iCloud then you need to sign into those accounts on the other devices.
If it is from a mail account: Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > add the account and be sure to turn calendars on.
If it is a subscribed calendar: Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Subscribed calendar
Some calendars say Exchange. I don't use exchange. And some say CalDAV. I think that's google? How do I reassign these to hotmail which is where I started? In settings, under mail, calendars it lists hotmail and I am logged in properly there and the calendar button is on.
In mail, contacts, calendars, I have iCloud and hotmail and 1 subscribed calendar. Both iCloud and hotmail account have calendars turned on.
They have to be added and turned on for both devices.
You can add the CalDAV calendar by following the instructions I posted above for adding subscribed calendars and selecting Add CalDAV Account
They are already there.
So all the accounts are added to both devices and enabled.
New iCloud events sync.
Are you saying that the older events are missing?
Did you set it to sync all events as I suggested in one if my earlier posts?
I think I am confused on what they specific problem is.
iCloud calendars seem to sync when you add a be event. So I am assuming you are missing the older events or it is a calendar other that an iCloud calendar. You stated those calendars are added on both devices so they should sync via there providers.
I am getting lost as well.. There is only one calendar displaying.. It is an old one with old appts on it.. My current calendar doesn't display at all.. Not past events or future.. Gone. I think it has something to do with the fact that they got changed to DAV and exchange. They used to all be in hotmail.. I think.. but I might have done that messing around trying to fix the problem, so they were gone before then.. I am afraid I have lost everything. thinking to delete all calendars and start over..I am also going to go over to my friendly Verizon store and see what they can do..
Just an update. The Verizon store thinks my events got dumped off the hotmail server. So I am contactinghotmail support to have them rest the calendar. He verified everything on both devices was set up properly. Hope this will fix it.
Thanks so much for your efforts. Truly appreciate it!
You're welcome.
I hope you get it all sorted out.
Problem solved! Evidently when I updated the iPad it changed my default calendar from iCloud to yahoo. Changing it back and changing sync to All Events fixed everything. Thanks for your help
