IPAD WILL NOT STAY CONNECTED TO WI-FI

I agree. Brand new iPad Pro disconnects every 30 seconds. Never had a problem with any of my android devices or even an iPad mini 4. I have at least 10 devices connected to wifi and the only one that gives problems is this 2017 iPad. (3 note 5’s, note 10.5, tab 10, tab 4, Xbox one, 2 Apple tvs, smart tv, alexia, Etc..)

Is this at Home or any Wi-Fi...?

If at Home... Turn your Home Wi-Fi router OFF for 30 seconds... Then Back ON.

If elsewhere....

On the iPad...

Reset all settings

Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.

This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.

Some things to try first:

5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

• Launch Settings app

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

These forums are stuffed with iPads not connecting to WiFi. The only solution I found was to go with Android - I bought a Nexus 10 three months ago and will never come back to Apple. I have 6 wireless devices in my home and the only one that has ongoing connectivity issues is my 1st Gen iPad. The thing has never reliably connected to WiFi - all my other devices have a hiccup about once every 3 months - not daily. No it's not my settings, my router, a fluke, a reset fix, or sunsposts. The fact that all these threads supply 45 different fixes should be a clear sign it's either a badly designed peice of hardware (iPad) or software (iOS).

Mine's a great coaster though.
