Correct. The iPod Nano cannot be signed into iCloud. As for audio playback, unless you are trying to playback tracks from the Apple Music subscription service, you do not need to authorize an iPod Nano.

Tracks from the Apple Music subscription service are not supported on iPod Nano, Shuffle or Classic as it requires a connection to the internet.

Trying to add ipod shuffle (2nd gen) to my itunes and it won't let me add only delete existing devices.

my itunes is not letting me add a device to it and i have looked at other peoples same questions and have done the same thing the person tells them to do but it wont work

Perhaps that's because the subject of this thread has nothing to do with your problem, which is totally unrelated to adding a new DEVICE to an existing account.

Woah Lawrence jeeze sorry! I was so frustrated yesterday I googled and scoured anything I could find. Anyways I phoned Apple and got the most amazing service. They helped me immensely.
