how can i close cfprefsd
I can't update my Flash player because I can't close "cfprefsd". 😟 I tried using cmd-opt-esc to list active processes, but this file is not listed there.

Go to Applications/Utilities and open Activity Monitor. Select the process and use the top left hand button to force it to quit.

I had the same issue and each time I try to close cfprefsd, it opens back up automatically and immediately. Any help on how to keep it closed would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Mike
If you read the linked discussion, it will open automatically depending on what applications you have open.
