How to remove text shadow from titles in the new iMovie 10.0?
I am asuming this can be achieved, I am not just not sure how.

No, you don't.
meant as a feature, to make Titles more 'pop out', giving a better readibility.
I find it amazing that after 3 years, Apple still hasn't fixed this bug. Yes, it is a bug.
You'll be happy to know there is a work-around (frankly, work-arounds seem to be Apple's answer to everything):
Go to your notes app, copy any text, and then paste it into iMovie's text input. Wallah, shadow's gone. And you can still use the font picker to choose another font.
So, I found the Fonts pop-up menu, but the sliders are nowhere to be seen...
It seems to temporarily appear when I select something from the settings within Fonts (e.g. Edit Sizes), but it disappears once I go back to the pop-up.
I can also see the sliders when I'm not selecting any text in my clip, but as you can imagine, this is completely useless because any new text I type in takes on the standard format (i.e. it has a drop shadow), and there's no way to edit text that's already typed out without selecting it, which subsequently makes the sliders disappear. Hope that explanation made sense.
Any ideas as to why this is happening, or how to fix it? Thanks!
Try this:
In the font drop down menu scroll down to the bottom and click "Show Fonts...:
In the pop up box, click and drag on the lower right-hand corner to expand the box wider.
You should now see 3 sliders appear at the top of the pop-up. These control the drop shadow.
Opacity, spread and distance respectively.
In imovie 10.0.3 there seems to be a bug that won't let you add drop shadows to text but you should be able to 'remove' dropshadow by sliding the first slider all the way to the left to make the opacity = 0.
I think you can remove the shadow you're talking about by clicking on the "Outline button". It's the one next to "B" and "I" that is labeled "O".
I had almost given up! You are a lifesaver.
So incredibly stupid and frustrating iMovie is. Thanks for the simple "Copy & Paste" trick. Saved me from punching my computer.
Is there no end to the frustration that is the later versions of iMovie–and other Apple software? Thank you! Was about to reinstall iMovie thinking it had to be something goofed up on my machine.
