How to recover photos from iPhoto and iPhone sync?

I just synced over 2,000 photos from my camera roll on my iPhone 4 (running on iOS7) to iPhoto 09 on MacBook Pro Snow Leopard. When the prompt asked to delete photos on phone, I clicked yes. The application wasn't working after awhile so I force quit. When I launch iPhoto again, the photos were not there and half the photos on my camera roll were gone. When I try to sync iPhoto with my iPhone, it says 0 photos. How do I recover them?

Thanks!

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.4

The easiest way I know to recover photos missing from your Mac is from your latest backup that still has the data.

If you mean from your iPhone, the best iDea I can suggest is iOS: How to back up and restore your content.

Hi, first, I have to make two things clearly:

How to Recover Deleted Photos from iPhone:

First, the deleted photos are still on your iPhone, not Camera Roll, but in 'Recently Deleted'. From here, you should select them all and delete them permanently.

Second, besides the photos in iPhone Camera Roll, which you can delete, but there are some photos in photo library you can't delete at all. To clear all all photos in photo library, you should connect your iPhone with your computer and launch iTunes > click your iPhone and navigate to Photos > check Sync photos from > select an empty folder and apply the sync.

Use iPhone Data Recovery or iTunes backup files might be a great choice for you to recover deleted photos from iPhone.

Hoping somebody can help me. I have a hd backup, and recently I think I lost at least 100 photos when trying to update my iphoto 11. I still have about 100 photos on my backup hd, but I seem to have lost the rest. Since my backup was on at the time of the loss, I don't understand why the other photos aren't in there. Please help - I think I've lost hundreds of photos. I recently tried going to pictures in the finder, and right clicking with control button on the (more than 2) iphoto libraries, but there are only a few bytes in each

Help much appreciated! I think I've lost hundreds of photos!
