My iPad sound is all bad makes terrible noise
For example on Apps where there should be a swoosh sound it makes a loud cracking noise and on Angry Birds there is a loud background sound.
iPad 3G, iOS 7.0.4
Try going into the settings and reset all settings. See if that helps.
