iPhoto is not recoginizing my iPhone when I sync it. Image Capture does not recognize it is connected either. But iTunes does recognize my phone. I am running Mavericks on my iMac and have upgraded to iOS 7.0.4 on my iPhone. iPhoto version is 9.5 (902.7)/

Hi Kevin,
I experienced this problem when my iPhone disappeared from the side menu. What fixed my own issue was to expand out the 'Import' heading. Eg. Where it says 'Import' in the side heading there is an invisible (you have to hover next to the word 'Import') button which says 'hide' or 'show'. Set it to 'show' and your iPhone will be back. Hope that helps the problem you had.
