My ipod nano won't turn off

My ipod nano will not turn off and I don't know how to resolve this. any suggestions?

Hi nichola!

Have you tried resetting your iPod? Hold the Menu and Select (center) buttons together for 7 seconds.

Sometimes, if you toggle the "hold" switch (located on the top of your iPod) several times, your iPod will work and turn off again.

Also, try connecting your iPod to your computer, ejecting it, and disconnecting it. Try this sequence several times, and see if it works.

I had the same problem, so no ipod batteries on the way to work this morning 😟 Found a solution in another post here http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=2736591&#2736591, go to Settings, Main Menu, and enable the sleep link. Now you have a sleep option on the main menu to turn the ipod off. I found that once I had used this link once, holding down the play button worked again as well. Not sure if it'll still turn itself off though, which it had stopped doing.
