I recently got an iPhone 5 with a new number and want to easily text most of my contact to let then know. I was wondering if there was a way to text an iCloud contact group (maybe an app suggestion that would allow you to import an iCloud group) or if you have another suggestion other than individually selected all 200+ contacts.

In iOS, groups are largely used for filtering adn organization of contacts. You can use them as distributions lists for mail or messaging. It is possible there is an app that can integrate with Contacts and Messages, but I do not know of one.
