Mistakenly hit forget this device for my Bluetooth hands free now cannot find device

It's not necessary to reset network settings in most cases. Resetting network settings deletes all saved WiFi passwords. If you have devices linked through an Apple ID, it deletes them on the other devices as well.

in many forums, apple iphone customers facing issues to reconnect when they accidentally hit forget device. I faced the same issue and contacted apple support. I've was advised to reset network settings but it didn't helped.

Many of the third party bluetooth headsets are not coming in market with 3 buttons - one volume up/down and a power key.

When u hit forget device on yur iphone and the bluetooth headset is not showing up again,

do

1. turn on bluetooth on yur iphone

2. press & hold power on button on yur bluetooth headset

3. press and hold power on and volume down key till you hear 2 beep sounds.

4. Now the device will show up in yur iphone

These instructions will only work if holding the power button and the volume buttons are the way to put the device into pairing mode. The process is not the same on every pair of headsets or every speaker. For example, many BT devices have a button you press to put them into pairing mode. That is why steps 2 and 3 on your list should read 2) Find the manufacturer's instructions on how to put the device into pairing mode, 3) Put the device into pairing mode by following those instructions.

I did the exact same thing and I'll I had to do was Hard Reset my phone and I was able to connect to my forgotten Bluetooth device again!

To Hard Reset iPhone 7 and 7 plus: hold down the power button and volume down button at the same thing until it turns off

Below iPhone 7 and 7 plus: hold down power button and home button at the same time until phone turns off

The procedure you're describing is called a "forced restart", not a hard reset.

Could you pls do the same process on your bluetooth headset ?

Do not do this on iphone.

If yur bluetooth headset has 3 buttons.

Volume up and volume down and power button at center.

Do this on bluetooth headset only.

1. Turn on bluetooth by pressing power button

2. Press and hold on power button and volume down simultaneously, till you hear 2 long beeps.

In some devices, You will notify led light on bluetooth glow in 2 colours

3. Turn off yur bluetooth

4. Turn on bluetooth

5. Now turn on yur bluetooth in iphone

6. You can now see yur bluetooth headset name in yur iphone list

7. Connect it and enjoy.

Uh, why would I need to do that? I know how to put all the BT devices I own in pairing mode.

The instructions you've given for putting a device into pairing mode will not apply to all devices. For example, the speakers I use have a dedicated button to enable pairing. My Amazon Echo does it by voice. And I use AirPods which don't need to have any buttons pushed.

Is the hands free device in discoverable (pairing) mode? If not, then the phone won't find it. Check the manual for the device you're trying to pair with.

Once a device is forgotten it will never connect again until it is re-paired. You must put the device into pairing mode, as Tim said.

Can u post how u got yours to re-pair ? I can connect and pair to other devices Bluetooth, but can not re. Discover my brookstone keyboard with my iPad 3 iOS 7.04. Thx

Don't forget to turn on the 'personal hotspot' in 'settings'

Had the same problem with Plantronics Voyetra Edge and iPhone 6, I held down the call button on the Edge then pressed and held the volume up button which reset the connection

How do I re-pair my phone to a Bluetooth speaker?

I reset my bose speaker by pressing the power on button , pressed the + and - at the same time and then put it into find mode and the iPod found it again. It worked for me!
