Songs not showing up on Ipod

Two days ago I synced my ipod to my computer and noticed some of my songs would not play when the ipod was synced, have no idea why. Then they started to "disappear" from my ipod, even though they show up in itunes. Some of the songs are in new locations, some of them weren't but that was NEVER a problem with my actual ipod until now (if anything i couldnt find them in the itunes library but they were still playable on my ipod) It's frakkin about four months worth of songs! Right now I am adding the songs in bunches and doubling back to delete the ghost files. Is there an easier way??

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Unsync all music and resync

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
