Mavericks Magic Mouse Scrolling Issues

Many Magic Mouse scrolling issues have been reported and I'd like to add a list that affect several of my Macs:

1. Issues in iTunes

- When you are in the iTunes store, the top coverflow allows you to use your magic mouse to swipe left and right

- However, it does not swipe like an iPhone where you can re-swipe midway and instead can only do a full swipe

- You can test this by doing 2 quick swipes and the result is the swipe will stop altogether

- This should work like an iPhone where you can control the swipes at any point during the animation

2. Issues with Finder windows

- In very long lists of files and folders, if you scroll 2 or 3 times the ability to scroll stops

- This either requires you to put the mouse focus on something else and try scrolling again

- Scrolling should not stop working

- This is less apparent with inertia turned on

- However, intertia turned on makes working in other applications such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator almost impossible

3. Issues with Mail 7.0x

- The latest update still has scrolling issues where it stops working after prolonged use

- The only fix is to quit or force-quit to bring back scrolling capability

4. Issues in iPhoto (The following is with inertia turned off)

- When scrolling long list of photos, the speed of the scroll can suddenly change with variable acceration

- This results in jumping forward too quickly

- Mountain Lion was worse, however the scolling behavior is hard to predict in long lists

- There are various mouse scrolling 3rd party apps but finding a speed is quite difficult

I'm sure there are other mouse scrolling issues but hope these issues can be improved. Unfortunately, some of these issues have persisted since pre-Lion releases.

The non-scrolling problem has just started for me. So far only Safari that is affected.

I was reading the various pages on non-scrolling and the page froze, I couldn't scroll up or down or swipe to a previous page, a different window (not tab) with a different site would scroll. This isn't 100% consistent, sometimes the 2nd window freezes also, sometimes it doesn't. The page won't reload either. Closing the page where the scrolling stopped allows scrolling on the 2nd window, if it had been "frozen".

I am not sure if this is the same issue or a different one.

I was browsing these pages as a guest and went to long in to reply, when mouse scrolling stopped so did keyboard entry, I couldn't type my Apple ID in, the other window continued to scroll OK. Closing the window, reopening from History and scrolling and text entry was back. It has just happened as I typed this. I turned on scroll bars always visible, they appeared on the 2nd window but not this one that wasn't responding. Closing the window, reopening restored scrolling and it now shows the scroll bars.

Having got use to mouse scrolling ans swiping between pages this is a real pain.
