I upload videos to youtube pretty frequently. I film on a small digital camera, import to final cut pro on my macbook pro, and then upload it directly to youtube. Every time I upload it takes upwards of 15 hours for a 4-5 minute video. This can't be normal. My friend had a similar length video and hers uploaded in 20-30 minutes. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?? Thank you so much

That wouldnt be it no, Firefox, Chrome or Safari will both upload vids at your max upload speeds to youtube servers.

Yes, before I upload to youtube I export from final cut into a QuickTime file. And I checked how big the file was and it turns out the last one I uploaded was actually 13 gb!

How do I "down sample the file size?" Can I shrink it somehow and still have it be a hidef video?

Also, I use Final Cut Pro, not iMovie, does the video apply to final cut also?
