Garageband is amazing. and it became even more amazing when I discovered the monitor. This morning, however, I opened a new project and turned on the monitor in real instrument - male basic, and now there is a half second delay between everything I sing and what comes through the headphones on monitor. I didn't change any settings. Why is it doing this? I'm using a MBP 17" Please let me know what I can do to remove the delay. Thanks.
when I turn the monitor on.. then off.. then on again, thats when the latency starts.. and it won't go away until i close garage band and reopen it. this gets very annoying when im recording witht he ehadset, then unplug it so everyone else can hear what we just recorded at whcih point the monitor needs to turn off to avoid feedback.
I need help on this please. I get no delay when monitoring is off and I get a very slight delay when monitoring is on. When the enhance timing level is at max the delay is longer and when it is off, the delay is very short. I have selected minimum delay when playing instruments live (small buffer size) but I still get the delay. I need to record in time while using GB's effects. Cant I go into more depth with latency settings?? I am using a Focusrite Saffire as my audio interface. I can't find anyone else with this particular problem although some are very similar. Please help!!
