Monitor delay

What you're seeing is "Latency". It takes time to process effects, and this can cause latency.

Try creating a New Basic Track for recording, then add the effects later. See if using no effects during the recording phase eliminates it for you.

I need help on this please. I get no delay when monitoring is off and I get a very slight delay when monitoring is on. When the enhance timing level is at max the delay is longer and when it is off, the delay is very short. I have selected minimum delay when playing instruments live (small buffer size) but I still get the delay. I need to record in time while using GB's effects. Cant I go into more depth with latency settings?? I am using a Focusrite Saffire as my audio interface. I can't find anyone else with this particular problem although some are very similar. Please help!!

Also try Garageband>Preferences>Audio/Midi and choose Minimum Delay.

the more effects you use the more latency you'll have. don't use any while recording, use them later, when mixing.
