mdnsresponder causes traffic

Hello,

I am using a Mac mini with Maverick 24/7 and I am watching that the mdnsresponder is causing much traffic and is receiving over 70.000 packets a day!
What is wrong there?

Are you using Chrome by any chance, or just Safari?

In Activity Monitor, search for the process named "ocspd". How much bandwidth has it used?

ocspd has only 12MB. In the meantime the Mac downloaded 1.4GB in 18 hours. F... What is wrong?
