I play Itunes from my laptop wirelessly through apple tv into my stereo system. Works great. I replaced my wifi router with an Apple Express. Now my itunes speaker selection does not include Apple TV. Same thing for my ipad itunes. What am I missing here? I went back to my original wifi router & the apple tv speaker selection returned.

Tha ATV & AE should be wireless. No Ethernet cable.
Should I connect them via a cable? They are close together.
When the AE is in the system everything else works fine.
Internet connections to the laptop, ipad & ipod.are all good.
Just my wireless Itunes connection via ATV to stereo system disappears.

If it works with out the AE, then the issue is with the AE or the setup of that device.
With the AE connected, is the ATV actually connecting to it?

atv3 connected wifi to bt smart hub
airport express series 1 802.11n wired to the router and its wifi turned off as i just use it for airplay streaming to a speaker
sometimes my atv will refuse to connect to the network. the instant i turn off the AE it connects
any clues ?
