My only disappointment with Mac so far has been the lack of support for Arabic... my face goes all red when someone asks me about that after I've managed to convince them to by a Mac!...
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4), Also have iPhone 4 with iOS 4.1
Pages 5 now supports Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi and Pashtu.

The only app which currently doesn't support Arabic is MS Word, which has nothing to do with Apple.
If you have a problem other than that, provide the details and someone here can probably help.
The iCloud based Pages doesn't support Arabic... :-/
That is interesting. I don't use it so didn't know.
It is called Iwork for iCloud beta, so perhaps it is on its way.
But that does mean the 3 forms of iWork apps are not fully compatible.

You are correct, the new iCloud version also doesn't support any Indic script. Use the feedback link to ask Apple to fix that before it leaves beta status. The iCloud webapps have a separate forum at

Pages for iPad and iPhone supports Arabic and RTL's, so how come the Mac version doesn't??
