I've just noticed in the past week or so, that there's a spinning wheel on the top of my iphone5 screen. It starts the second that I unlock the phone, and never stops. What's going on? Disabling wi-fi, bluetooth, and location services does not stop the spinning wheel. Thie wheel normally indicates that there is some communication activity going on.

Have you tried a hard rest? To do that hold the power and lock button untill the phone turns off and the apple logo appears.

It's likely a background app refreshing itself. I've noticed this circle even when all background apps are closed. Interesting, another iOS7 quirk.
Power down the phone. Wait 30 seconds and turn back on. Problem is gone!
Yeah, I've done that several times now. It works for a while. Then in a couple of days, the spinning wheel comes back. Interesting note though, it only occurs when I'm in homescree. This bug should be killed it's annoying.
