The touch screen doesn't work during charging
I assume it's not right. The touch screen doesn't work sometimes when charging. It's iPhone 5S. Any one has the same problem?

My iPod 6th gen doesn't work correctly while charging, if it's charging the touchscreen becomes unresponsive and glitchy, if I'm doing something and hold my finger on the screen, say, in a game that's 3D, the camera angle will spin around or not look where I have it, like at the ground, and if I'm holding it it kinda shakes before looking down, it's hard to explain but I need to know if it can be fixed
Hi MY Wong,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're experiencing some unexpected touch screen behavior. The steps in this article can help with troubleshooting touchscreen response:

Best,

I have been having similar erratic and unresponsive touchscreen behavior when my iPhone 5 is charging. I have original chargers from various iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPad's dotted around my house. When I went to my original box, I found my charger was still there. When I plugged this in my iPhone 5 had no further issues. When I switched back to using an older charging plug from a previous device the problem immediately returned.
Solution to this problem is: find your original plug and write on it with black pen to avoid it getting mixed up with others.
My wife's phone was having the same issue and I confirmed it was the charger. When it was plugged into one of three chargers I have on the counter it would become erratic. My iPhone 5 worked okay on the same charger, so it seems some are more sensitive than others.
Thank you for the reply. I was using the original charger. The problem comes and goes. So I haven't sent for repairing yet. It seems to be less happened last few weeks.
I know why...
I had the same issue and did some digging and found out that the problem only existed when the phone was in it's case.
In my case, I'm using apple's leather case that cost me like $50 (in Korea). I'm currently in discussions with the local apple call center to see whether I can get a refund or a new leather case.
If the case was like < $10, I'll let it go and buy a new one or something but $50 is just too much to just let it go...and I kind of like my product RED leather case.
Good Luck!
Thank you bikrman.
This is amazing. After reading your response, I took the case out (leather 2). Voila, it worked!
Thanks.....
Amazing. Just bought my iPhone 5S with a Black Apple Leather Case.
I was having the same issue, searching on internet, found this post and testing here, is exactly this: with case, problems in touch, without, no problem.
I think Apple have to speak with his customers to explain this problem, and solve it.
Is there a fix for this? I am also having the same issue on my 5S and it's unbearable to have to remove the case everyone. I have literally gone through 5 cases.
Same happening here, 5s with leather case. Anybody could please explain why this happens???
I have a silicone case and it still doesn't work.
Thanks bikrman!
That was it! Must be some weird earthing issue...
I noticed that if i touch a metal part of the iPhone that is not covered by the leather case it works fine even while charging in the case!
Also i only get this issue on 2A chargers like the iPad one, it works fine on the original charger.
Yes, this is a grounding issue of some kind. I've never experienced this before traveling to the UK but to be fair, I'm charging on travel USB adapters. The issue seems to be with ANY case (I have a Magpul) which completely isolates your handle from the metal bits of the phone. If you leave it charging, and hold the phone carefully with thumb and finger pinching the front and back near the earpiece, being certain to only touch glass, you'll experience the same problem (assuming you had the problem with your case on).
Yes, I can confirm the same behavior with my silicone/plastic case. But weird thing is that this problem came out after a few months of using it. And I'm using orginal charger all the time.
I've been having the same issue for a while now and I never knew what it really was beacause I only use original chargers and I have tried with 3 different ones and the same result, sometimes it just goes crazy and sometimes it doesn't but right now I remove the case while being plugged in and it worked fine, then I put it back and the problem returned.... so what's exactly the issue? I think apple should do something about this issue
