Turn off cellular data warning
How do you turn off the cellular data warning that annoyingly pops up every time you're not using cellular data when opening notes, maps, or anything you have cellular data turned off?

amen to that. I use spotify in offline mode and I am annoyed by the message. There should be a way to not show this message. The workaround noted by steve210209 doesn't make any sense to me. I don't understand it.
Please submit your feature request to Apple at this link: http://www.apple.com/feedback
I'm having the same issue with podcast and music. I hate the fact you can't turn this off. Very dangerous when driving cause it's an extra look not needed. I should be able to only say no once.
You don't.
It is extremely annoying. There is a way to stop it though. For each app you get this message on, you need to have cellular data turned on for the apps in question, but have the main cellular data button flicked to off. For example with the Notes app, switch on cellular data, then switch it on for notes specifically then flick the cellular data button at the top of the screen to off.
I am now on my third Iphone. It seams as though every update from apple requires your phone and every app to use more and more data... This is my last iphone because of this. I need more control over my apps besides turning cellular data on and off completely. That is just unexceptable. Android here I come.
Please reply on topic or don't reply at all. But since I really can't resist, I'll reply to your post.
Besides: cellular data usage is triggered by the app. Not the phone it's on. How does android behave differently on this matter? What can you do with your new android phone to get a hold on your cellular data usage, besides turning it off?
Just curious.
How is indigo's post off topic? My question was about control and Indigo answered. Way to go policing the topics and then commit the same crime furthering a rant about Android vs. Apple. IMO you are the one taking this post off topic.
Haha point taken, Sorry to bother you all. Any luck with a possible solution? I'm allmost used to the warning. But still... These kind of warnings on a desktop OS have this nice little checkbox like "never warn me about this again". Could there be something like this be possible in iOS GUI?
I can't figure out why I would need cellular data with notes? Which makes this doubly annoying
Does this then turn off the cellular for the apps or do they being individually "on" override the master "date off"? Thanks
maybe to sync notes with iCloud? If you turn off cellular data for the notes app, I would think it only syncs while you're connected to wifi
Spotify, the app I had troubles with, has an offline modus built in now. So I let the cellular data on for this app now, and the app itself blocks me from listening to tracks that I haven't saved for offline listening. Nice solution by spotify. Doesn't solve our initial problem, though.
I totaly agree with you its so anoying. I have posted a request for this change.
So I may have found a working fix for this issue.
I am on iOS 7.1.1
1) Turn off data for a given app
2) Close the app (double click main button, swipe up to close out app)
3) Open the app, dismiss irritating pop-up.
(repeat as needed, the person who proposed the procedure said 3x, but mine worked on the first try)
Other details:
I was in range of one of my wifi networks, so I disabled wifi before I started.
