can not connect to iTunes says fatal unable to process request

I keep trying to sign on to my itunes but says FATAL:: Unable to process request. Please try again. I've tried from my mac and ipad and same thing. I've changed my password too and still the same.

Same problem here. Just started moments ago. Wondering if it is tied into the problems I've been experiencing of late with iTunes, especially with podcasts. Well, let's hope they get it up and running soon. Glad I didn't do anything drastic to my phone (like resetting to factory settings) before checking here. Thanks for the info! 🙂

Interestingly, I can access the iTunes and App stores with my .mac account, but not with the account that I have created to use with iTunes and for Apps. It is not a .mac/.me or cloud account. My guess is those who can access it are doing so through .mac/.me accounts of some sort. Hoping it is not so fatal that Apple cannot get us back into our accounts, otherwise they are going to have a load of very unhappy customers on their hands. I store iTunes gift card $ on the account showing the FATAL...TRY AGAIN message. 😠
