Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
My microphone works just fine when using the phone or recording videos on the camera. But when I try to record a video through Instagram or Snapchat, and try to make a call on Skype, my mic does not work. I've gone to Privacy > Microphone, but there are no apps listed to allow access to the mic.

When I talk on snap chat the sound actually lowers and when I don't talk while recording I only hear static it's like it's muffled and I've taken the otter box off and everything I've contacted apple support and snap chat support snap never even replied to me and apple said it wasn't their problem any other ideas anyone?

I’ve figured out the problem it’s the primary microphone besides the speaker on the left, I have the same problem also, the camera app uses the rear speaker besides the rear camera
