ox 10.9 does not support Canon i9950 printer drivers

Has any one else experienced loosing the printer drivers since upgrading to Mavericks? My excellent Canon i9950 8 ink photo A3 printer worked fine since the upgrade, until it needed a replacement ink cartridge. From that point on, only 3 of the inks would print. Canon were no help as they have no drivers to support my printer with 10.9. As it is an old model they say it is not likly to develop any. I have tried using my upgraded macbook pro with same results. Unless I can find a solution I will have to either re install Snow Leopard(retrograde step) or ditch the printer and buy a £hundreds new printer! Thanks Apple you should have thought of this and given us some warning! I am told that I can plug a conection into my network hub but does not have a lead socket to fit.

Any ideas anyone?
