Monitor from 2008 Mac Pro???

I currently have a 2008 Mac Pro (which I thought was older) and I have a 22 or 23 inch apple HD display that I bought back in 2008. Its a nice display still. But lately when I start up the computer I get some black typing on the grey startup screen that says something to the effect of a cpu panic. But if I wait and restart everything is fine.

So Im wondering if I go with one of those new MacPro's "garbagecan" models can I still use this display with these new Mac Pros?

Thanks

The short answer is that an '08 monitor will work just fine with the correct adapter.

What you're seeing on your '08 Mac Pro is a kernal panic. There can be many causes but most are caused by changes in your hardware/software landscape. Think back to recent changes and uninstall/disable whatever it was to see if it goes back to normal. If you've changed nothing,

Google "troubleshooting os x kernel panic" to get started on a fix.

Well I ended up taking out the 2-1 Gig sticks of memory that came with my Mac Pro Tower on a hunch and I havent had a single problem since I last posted...

In fact Im gonna clear out any panic logs or anything in there and see if I get anything...

I dont know how I got so lucky. Ended up saving me from having to buy a new Mac Pro at $4000
