Apple Store Online UK No Return on Faulty Item Bought Black Friday ?

I am shocked I have tried to return a new Mac Book Pro that has freezing issues and normally you just go to the online store and return. I ordered this on Black Friday and it was delivered two days ago, so you can imagine my surprise to get message flash up saying that no refunds online for items bought with voucher or discount? its just a odd message, I paid normally for it. Alsoo the guy that I ordered it through said that I actually had until January to return. Am now really worried?
