My iphone 5 e-mail setting POP suddenly stopped working - cannot read e-mail. Contacted provider - OPTUS in Australia - could not help - they put me thru to Apple - could not help with incoming server connections. Can I plug it in to Mac - Itunes and do it that way - very frustrating!
Set it up as new device, without using the latest backup. This way you can start from the scratch, but all other data will be gone as well.
Do you really think it is worth losing everything as you suggest just to have a clean SMTP page - dont think so. There must be another way Apple suggests. Thanks
Try to delete the mail account, reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. Then set up a new mail account, if the server list is still coming up as before, you can't delete all of them until you set it up as new device.
