Replicator problem

Hi Ivan5, I tried this last night and did not experience any bluriness with the replicator.
I popped back to find out if anyone had seen it but no further replies.
I tried it again and this time I am experiencing exactly the same "original object AOK (sharp)" and the replicated objects blurred.
Like you I checked the render settings were at Full & Best but that makes no difference. "Interesting how it has just happened today"
Hi Alan,
Thanks for replying. When I used the replicator today, it worked fine. I didn't change any settings. The problem is intermittent. Well, now I know it's not a user error.
Make sure you don't scale the source shape for the replicator cell (in the Transform parameters) as that will definitely create softness in the replicator (in other words leave it at 100% or less).
It might not be that, but it's worth checking.
Simon,
Thanks for the tip.
Glad to help.
I also meant to add that scaling the replicator cell above 100% in the cell controls will also result in softness.
If you're not sure how big you want your cells to be in the final replicator it's always best to draw them nice and large to begin with and then scale them down.
Why would the shapes go soft when I change the scale?
I thought shapes in Motion are vector based so they would be crisp at any size.
In the Replicator, turn on 3D. It doesn't appear that turning on Best in the Render > Quality menu makes a difference in this case.
