How long's Apple's pieces of string - How long does an ibook last?

Well here's a tricky one for all you (we) Apple Lovers.

How long is it before a computer (I'm only interested in Apples) "dies, snuffs it, is no more, is an ex-apple, is deceased, has gone to meet it's maker, is dead"?

Do mother boards die? Do circuits die? Does the light go out?

In other words can me and my ibook go to the grave together?
(I am 60 and my ibook is 3.)

Opinions please.

I have an iMac G3 from 2001 that is still up and running a business using IS 10.4

Apple's tend to last a lot longer than Apple would probably like them to. I wouldn't own anything else.
