MacBook Pro Retina Display 15" late 2013 - "flickering probs"

Hi there,

I have a little problem with my new MBP Retina Display late 2013, 15" version. Since today, it decided to have kind of flickerings when I scroll the pages on the web and when I pass from a desktop to another one. The problem also occurs when I enter Mission Control, where the animation is slow and jerky, the same as it is when I pass from a desktop to another.

I don't think it a monitor problem: it works wonderfully! Is it possible it's a problem with the drivers?

sorry for the late answer... some days have passed so, if you don't see any problems, you can delete the whole content of the bin!

Thank you very much I did this on mine and so far so good. Will keep an eye on it and will update you guys if anything but thank you very much I was so annoyed by having all this flickering on my computer after how much i paid for it next time i'll think twice before spending so much on a computer even if it's an Apple computer. They won't even aknowledge the problem with so many people complaining on the web about the flickering.

Excellent, thanks JacopoFamularo that worked for me, boy that flickering was annoying, had to go back to my old 13" pre retina for website browsing, but back on 15" retina now. Cheers.

Hi there,

In the second paragraph of your respond you mentioned:

Before acting the deleting be sure to copy the last three folders on the desktop, in a way to save a copy of their files.

Then, after the procedure, can we delete the on-desktop folders?😕

What is the nature of such folders? why do they cause such effects on the screen?😮

After you are completely finished and restarted the computer can you empty the recycling bin?

I wanted to confirm that this fixed the problem of my display flickering on my brand new MBPR. Looking through several of the folders before deleting... they were full of old apps and things that I have not used in years.

Here are the specs of my machine incase anyone else is having a similar issue:

OSX 10.9.4

Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

NVIDI GeForce GT 750M

HI, i was experiencing ui lag on my mid 2014 13inches rmbp. I try the method mentioned in your post it works pretty well so far

just wanna ask you, do you still have lag now? i'm kinda worry that my laptop will gradually get slower and sluggish after a few days, which i've went through for a long time.
