Logic Pro X and Apple Intermediate Codec?
Hi, I am transitioning to Logic Pro X (from previous version) and find it will not open Apple Intermediate Codec movies. When I attempt to load an AIC movie I get this warning:
"Unsupported Movie Format
The movie file PhilsProject(AIC).mov cannot be played back in the native video engine. Please consider converting the movie using QuickTime Player 7 or similar tools to H.264 or other QuickTime Player X compatible formats."
This movie (and other AIC movies) will, however, open and play in Logic Pro 9, QuickTime 7 (Pro), and Quicktime Player 10.
I like AIC because the quality is good but the files are not too big and not too taxing on the system for working with music.
As AIC is an "Apple" format, I can't understand why it would not be supported by Apple software. Also, I cannot find any information anywhere about Logic Pro X supported video codecs.
Are other Logic X users experiencing the same thing - or is my system acting up? Any insight on how to make this work is appreciated.
Thanks
Phil
