iBooks edit button keeps revolving on my ipad

The edit button on my iBooks just revolves & will not stop. I have turned my ipad off & it does not help.this problem popped up after I downloaded the 7.0 update.

iPad, iOS 7.0.4, Ibooks problem

Try a reset (this is a different procedure to powering down and back on): Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

I used to have this problem on a iPad 2 with iOS7 (and iOS6). Everytime I would install a new book, iBooks would churn away like it was scanning it. Eventually the edit button would re-enable. It seemed to keep getting worse each time.

I then did a complete restore to the iPad. Now when I load a new book, it immediately is available for edit. iBooks still works fine 3 months after I did the restore.
