Mac Refuses to Burn DVDs
I am trying to burn a DVD on my Macbook Pro but for some reason it refuses to work. I am unsure if it's the programs I tried using were bad, Maverick is screwing things up, my dvd burner just can't do it anymore, or if I should use a different kind of dvd. If anyone can let me know what to do that would be great.
I've tried using multiple disks, repairing permissions, doing scans with TechTool Pro, and restarting the computer. None seemed to work
I tried burning it in 3 programs: iDVD, Roxio Toast 8, and Burn
In iDVD, it seemed like it was burning fine, but the burning process went a bit faster than usual, then at the end, it said done but kept loading the blue bar and the DVD ejected. The disk was still blank. The screenshot below is what iDVD said at this point.

In Roxio Toast 8, it was checking the DVD ok then when it started burning, it showed an error. Once again, the DVD ejected. The error is in the screenshot below:

In Burn, it was checking the DVD like normal and it started burning. About 20% in, Burn force quits unexpectedly. The link below shows what Finder said in the force quit dialog

I'm using Memorex DVD-R to burn these DVDs.From all this information, is anyone able to tell me why I am unable to burn a DVD? Thank you so much in advance. 🙂
