I had the same problem and tried all the settings thing and stuff but nothing resolved.

As a last resort I powerd off and powered on my phone and it got resolved .Try it out

I tried and it has solved my problem in my Iphone 5C, thanks friend...I was tired with many options but this is good.

What worked for me is this... a forced restart of the iphone.

I have an iphone 7+. So, my process is slightly different I'm told.

1) Press the "Volume Down" + "Sleep/Wake" buttons TOGETHER, till you see the Apple logo.

2) This will restart the iphone. Once done, enter your passcode & go back to "Contacts" or "Phone > Contacts".

3) Search for any contact again... this should work now. It did for me.

Solved, I also had same problem since i update iOS 10.1.1 and tried all solutions i.e. (Checked all groups, Turned On the contacts from Settings>icloud>contacts and Imported Sim Contacts as well) but nothing worked. The only thing worked for me is Restart.

Same problem I faced in iOS 10.0.2 ..

but still "no results" error are coming . Please some one can solve the problem urgent

Yah the same issue with me, and its so irritating rebooting your phone every time, its no more an iphone just an another android

I did restart and it works first time. Next time did not work. I did setting/icloud contact then I made contact off and then on it works. Nowadays it happens regularly, till date it never happen. Who is to blame? Of-course, Apple.

Still not working.

Cannot believe apple does not have a solution for this. You have to keep putting your mobile off and on to see it work.
