Why don't I have an option to delete mail messages?
I have no option to delete mail. If I swipe, I can move or archive. Also no trash can icon to select when in a message or when moving. Have iPad mini.

You can either have archive or the trashcan option - go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and select that account on the right-hand side of that screen, then tap Account on the popup, then Advanced and set Move Discarded Message Into : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4207
