Game Center keeps signing me out

I have an iPhone 4s with iOS 7. Every time I try to open a game on my phone, I get a pop up asking me to sign into game center. This started a couple days ago and it is really annoying. What makes it worse is that it doesn't even let me sign in all the time. Sometimes it allows me to sign in to game center and sometimes I get a message saying it cannot connect to server. Its really annoying and frustrating. I am not sure what to do to fix this.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.... same problem. Multiple times a day games ask me to sign in to GameCenter. Which, thanks to 2-factor authentication is a royal pain... and sometimes impossible! Because on landscape games, no keypad is presented to enter the code! So I'm stuck.

Erasing all my settings is not an answer, if it even helped... that's data loss. Data loss is WORSE than having to boycott all GameCenter games.

No problems on my iOS 7 devices.

I have the same issue, iphone 6 128gb, iphone 5 16gb and iphone 5 64gb all with 3 different game center accounts and all of them sign out and becomes extreamly annoying. Sometime i go for days without the issue, but more recently, it happens 2 or 3 times a day to all 3 accounts. I run the latest official release of IOS8 and I even use the beta version of IOS9 and still have the same issue. So dont expect this fixed in IOS9, cos its currently not fixed.

Apple, we spend thousands on consumer products every few years and you cannot fix this issue. Go back to the drawing board please and review this bug, cos it clearly is an issue and not iphone or user account specific. It is software, whether this is on the iphone itself in all the versions of IOS or a backend issue on the servers that manage the Game Center logons.

Please sort this out ASAP.

Just chiming in here. I have some sort of sense that the sign in pop ups after a complete battery drain but not sure.

It just feels like GC in fact looses my credentials every now and then and just draws a blank (null) after whatever storage has gotten

wiped of my password.

Very annoying and this has been happening a long time. I'd say since iOS 6. Has to be some sort of old bug where connections are lost

triggering a pwd wipe or something. Pretty please, at least put an intern or something on this issue ! I know GC isn't a priority in any sense,

but this should be fixed at least.

Cheers,

Niklas

Still happening here on my iPod 5th gen. - I keep having to sign back into Game Center which flakes out sometimes dozens of times a day (more often the more different games I play).

Worse it often gives the moronic "cannot connect to Game Center" error, which of course is rubbish. Because if I switch to the Game Center app itself I can connect mere seconds later.

And sometimes I find I also need to swipe upwards to force quit both the previous game and Game Center's app, before login with work, but still about five seconds later (as long as it takes to force quit both) I can connect, so this is not a connectivity issue. It is a crappy lack of testing before release issue.

I swear I am at my wit's end after a couple years of this !@#$. For about six months the issue seemed to go away, I think when iOS 8 first came out. But then it came back a few months ago *groans* All told I think I've had a total of about a year of this happening over non-consecutive periods since I bought my iPod for gaming back in 2013.

Phoning AppleCare is a waste of time. They have zero clue about this issue, and I have been through the usual troubleshooting steps a dozen times trying to solve this and iCloud issues that are thankfully gone... for now (iCloud services kept being disabled randomly by iOS back in iOS 7), to no avail. Not that AppleCare reps aren't always polite and trying to be helpful, IME. But the fact is they have yet to actually be helpful, no matter their cheery and earnest intent.

In the end I feel I am at the mercy of Apple engineers finally realising there is a problem and giving a **** about fixing it. Luckily that seemed to happen with iCloud (not that AppleCare are aware). Perhaps the six months a while ago when Game Center stayed signed in was a fix that fell by the wayside in a later patch, or was just randomly and inadvertently fixed, only to be broken again later. I don't know. I only know this: I am ******.
