Should my Macbook Pro support this?

My 2011 Macbook Pro:

Processor Name: Intel Core i5

Processor Speed: 2.3 GHz

Number of Processors: 1

Total Number of Cores: 2

L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

L3 Cache: 3 MB

Memory: 4 GB


Game:

  • OS: OS X version Snow Leopard 10.6.3, or later.
  • Processor: 1.3 GHz Intel CPU
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Hard Disk Space: 3 GB
  • Video Card: Open GL 2.1 / Shader Model 3 capable graphics card with 256 MB video RAM

  • Minimum:

    • OS: 10.6
    • Processor: 2.0 GHz Dual Core CPU
    • Memory: 1 GB RAM
    • Hard Drive: 200 MB available space
  • Recommended:

    • OS: 10.9
    • Processor: 2.4 Ghz Dual Core CPU
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Hard Drive: 200 MB available space


I usually have 2 or less Gb of available RAM. Can my computer run these?

Your MacBook Pro supports that game without any problem. The only issue you may have is related to the GPU in case you have got a 13-inch MacBook Pro, because the integrated GPU may not work well with games, but this can be solved by setting lower game settings.


The amount of RAM required by the game refers to the total amount of RAM your Mac has got, so you can also run it. To make sure you have the maximum amount of RAM available, close all apps while you are playing. You do not need any application while you are using any game

Ok thanks, image wise I am content. I like how it looks its just that in some areas I would experience lag, such as the opening credits and menus where my mouse would move slowly. Actual gameplay though was decent. Thank you for your help, in your personal opinion do you think that upgrading to 8GB would help these small issues or would it not be worth it?
