Hi
Go to: Settings > General > Accessibility > Speech > Typing Feedback > turn off Characters and/or any other unwanted settings.
Hi
Go to: Settings > General > Accessibility > Speech > Typing Feedback > turn off Characters and/or any other unwanted settings.
That's not Siri, it's VoiceOver. Settings>General>Accessibilty>VoiceOver>Off.
Also, while you're in Accessiblity, scroll all the way to the bottom and tap on "Accessibilty Shortcut" and make sure that you haven't selected VoiceOver to activate on a triple click of the Home button.
Best of luck.
I have tried all the suggestions listed and I can't get Siri to shut up when I type. Any other ideas?
Thank you so much. Siri was getting on my nerves.
You're welcome! 🙂
This was my question, too. Meg. St.Clair, helped me a lot., but all I had on was Speak Auto-text. that took care of my problem. YAY!
Thanks. I've added this site to my favorites,,cause I am soooo phone illerate.
I was experiencing this problem as well. I have an Iphone 5S. I tried all the suggested fixes and nothing worked. Playing around I went settings>general>spotlight search and removed the check marks from the three items checked. Low and behold she no longer speaks when I type.Hope this helps.
Thank you
