How do I add more ports to my new Airport Extreme? What do I need to buy?

Use an USB hub or Ethernet switch. For best results, an USB hub should have its own power supply.

I have an Airport Time extreme time capsule (new ac) and I used one of the LAN ports to hook up an unmanaged Netgear ProSafe GS105v5 switch and the devices hooked up to the switch are assigned IP addresses that start with 169.254. when the devices on the airport network and hooked up to the other airport LAN ports have 10.0 IP addresses.

How can this be? Any clue to to get the switch on the right IP scheme?
