It's clear what you are trying to do here.. If malware and NSA leaks hadn't confirmed things, I think you would have a point. As things stands It looks like you are just trying to wag the dog.
Oh, it's quite clear to me what I'm trying to do. However, don't read anything extra into my post other than "George" was the first Google hit when I typed "Tin foil hat"
I wonder if NSA or our Canadian equivalent knows I downloaded that picture?
So the "only" way to get a malware on an iPhone or get a security breach, is if you are jailbroken. Is that Apples official view?
And customers should have blind faith and no access to scan the files themselves.

No, I really don't know or care.
If you want total secrecy in this world, it is already far too late.
I see you are using the Internet, they know where you are, what you type, what you search for, what you buy online, which credit card you use, how often you use it. And on and on.
Yes. That is correct.
I am amazed at how much you believe in the conspiracy theories.

No wonder governments shy away from iPhones with the "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil"-attitude you guys here seem to have.
I thought you actually tried to provide real support.

I wonder if you are aware that no one that you are conversing with here are Apple employees, Apple support, or anything like that. We are users like you.

How much are you willing to wager on that.
Sorry, but an alleged NSA document from 2008 about their proof of concept spyware for iOS 1.0 qualifies as BS... If you want to buy into the conspiracy theory, that's your problem. I choose sanity.
Oh dear Lord, I fear for the world if all people were this delusional.

Even when the document states it requires the device "in hand". 😕
Sanity would be letting people access their phone they payed good money for and see for themselvs.
Not doing that makes you just look like a gullible moron I am afraid.

Accessing the file system would require jailbreaking your phone. Of course, that would render it vulnerable to malware, including the stuff that actually exists.
You do realize that the amount of attention NSA pays to you is directly proportional to the amount of nonsense you post on the Internet, right?
They maybe outside your house right now.
