Line at bottom of lock screen

Hello! I've got a new iPad air 32gb with cellular and whenever I set a non-default wallpaper on my lock screen (as in one which is a photo or a image of my own) I have a strange white line which is very thin at the bottom of the lock screen, however it is only there sometimes and disappears when I unlock the screen. It is never seen at any other time other than in the lock screen. Please see the images below of my issue:

Please could you tell me if is is a common problem and if there is any way of fixing it?

Thanks

Also, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! For those reading this tonight

I zoomed in on the images and yes, it appears as though there is a whole row of pixels gone white. Does it do it *only* on the lock screen? How about on other screens. To try and isolate the issue, you can also take a screen shot (press & hold both sleep/wake and home briefly at the same time) and see if it also appears there as well. If it does NOT appear in the screen shot but appears on the actual screen while viewing the same screen, it's likely a hardware issue, possibly the display's ribbon cable is not making proper contact at it's connection or the display itself has a fault.

If it DOES appear in the screen shot, there's probably an issue with the positioning of the wallpaper or how it's being cropped to fit the iPad's display size. In this case, try another wallpaper and see if it exhibits the same line.

EDIT: Looking again at the 1st and 3rd screen shot, I can clearly see that the white row of pixels is more than one row of pixels high (maybe up to 4 pixels) and it's not solid white either. You can see the branches of the trees within the white row. Seems as though that whole row of white is affecting the image & not just blanking it out to solid white. Again, try a different wall paper and see it it reacts the same way with the white row(s). If changing the wallpaper does not get rid of the issue, take it to the Genius Bar for evaluation.

One more thought...try a device reset before anything else.

Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)

1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.

2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.

3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

EDIT: I've verified that the white row is actually two pixels high. Also disregard my screen shot comments. The picture youve posted ARE actual screen shots and not photos taken of the screen itself. I think I need to get some sleep....😐
