Whether Apple repairs/replaces the keyboard/trackpad bezel or not, under warranty, there will always be some sort of burnishing in the wrist landing zone area. Below is an archived message on the subject below.

I've been blessed by having a MacBook that has been a joy to use. But, I can see where my palm has rubbed back and forth on the left and right sides of the trackpad. It is unique in the nature of the design as to how this MacBook causes your palm to rub, RIGHT THERE. The plastic is going to wear and get dirty. I generally wipe this area down with some handiwipes daily.
Well, A company named Marware sells cases and shields, and they been referenced here before. I have tried the Invisible Shield, ShieldZone, etc., stuff and just didn't like their product. But, Marware... wow. It is simply great. It cleans well, has a slight adhesion so it can stick to the MacBook, but yet can be removed. Plus it comes with a waaaay cool keyboard protector so that when you close the LCD, the keys won't touch the LCD screen.
This is definitely a product I'm pleased with. The wrist landing zones are protected and the feel of the product, a soft PVC leather, gives a feel of "elegance".
Now, you KNOW that because of the style of this MacBook, YOU are going to have problems with the palm rest area, staining or no staining. Even those who have had the plastic replaced via warranty are going to have a problem. The style is just not right for hands that rub back and forth on the plastic surface.
Griping here is not going to solve it. We gotta dance around the problem and I think Marware is a good way of doing it.
This is a great computer. Actually, it has been years since I have had so much fun on a computer. But the case's style-over-fuction design is not one of its better qualities.
