Hos can i get audio from Apple tv to AirPort express?

There is a simple way to do it,

Use airparrot, 3rd party airplay app. Send the video to Apple TV using air parrot, and click on preferences choose sound and choose the airport express as your sound output, this way it works fine for me 🙂

I haven't tried but also on VLC you can choose audio output destination separately as well... Have you tried that?

Another solution is to use Airfoil to send the sound separately from the Apple TV. It is a very good app which can send any audio from any SPECIFIC app or system audio to any airplay destination, even while the display is connected via airplay to Apple TV.

So, 3 solutions 🙂
