shuffle within a genre on the nano

unfortunately not. the only options for shuffling is to shuffle all, shuffle through playlists, or shuffle albums(which plays an entire album, then picks the next album randomly). you could make a playlist in itunes and put copies of your songs in that for each genre. just a suggestion...

Actually, go to settings, and enable shuffle. Then, go to genre, and choose the one you want. This will shuffle the songs.

hmm, guess i've just never tried that, i was just going by what the manual said.
