I keep getting a message on startup saying 'Do you want the application "KodakAiOBonjourAgent .app" to accept incoming network connections?' It says settings may be changed in the Firewall pane of Security? Doesn't matter what I click (Deny/Submit).

I keep getting a message on startup saying 'Do you want the application "KodakAiOBonjourAgent .app" to accept incoming network connections?' It says settings may be changed in the Firewall pane of Security but I don't see how. Doesn't matter what I click (Deny/Submit). The message still pops up on starup. I have a Kodak printer and am running Mavericks but I don't think it started when I upgraded.

This is the VERY easy way to do it...

Goto Launchpad or application list...

Hold Control down and double click the Kodak icon. The Kodak icon should then appear in the dock.

Control-click the KODAK AiO Home Centre icon on the Dock.

Select Show in Finder from the displayed list.

Double-click KODAK AiO Uninstall.

Click Uninstall in the Uninstaller window.

The problem I had was that even after uninstalling the Kodak software using the Kodak uninstaller the KodakAIOBonjourAgent was still active, I went to the Mac disk and then to Printers and began deleting anything with the word Kodak in it. And also emptying the trash as I went along. This took a while as the operating system said that the AIOBonjourAgent could not be deleted because it was open. However after going through all the subfolders in a similar manner I seemed to be able to get rid of it. Hopefully this will have worked. It's a shame because apart from the annoying software it was a good printer.

The thing is I wanted to keep the kodak software (for using my scanner), so didn't want to uninstall all the Kodak software. I followed JohanHarry's suggestions, however when I got to the end it didn't allow me to move the app to the trash as it said it was in use (I was doing it through the finder - maybe using the terminal would have worked?). However, instead I went up one level to the folder above, made a copy of it, then deleted the original, and renamed my copy to the same name as the original. This new folder still contained the annoying Bonjour app, so I now deleted this from the new folder. This seemed to work, and now I am no longer getting the annoying message, and my scanning app works fine!

So here's a list of what I did to remove it and still keep the kodak software

System Preferences

Security & Privacy

Firewall

Click the lock to make changes

Enter Password

Firewall Options...

KodakAiOBonjourAgent

Block incoming connections

Right Click on KodakAiOBonjourAgent

Show in Finder

Go up one level and make a copy of "AiO_Printers", entering your password when prompted.

Go into the copy and delete "KodakAiOBonjourAgent"

Delete the original "AiO_Printers" folder

Rename "AiO_Printers copy" to AiO_Printers"

I recently had this issue as well. I had installed the printer but I later bought a new one. I uninstalled the program and the message was still popping up. I looked all over to try to find an answer.

Here is how you fix it (especially if you uninstalled the program and no longer use the kodak)

1. Open system preferences

2. Click on security and privacy

3. Click the lock and enter your admin password

4. Click firewall

5. Click firewall options

6. Inside of here you will see the kodak application (It may be tempting to just remove it but this won't fix your issue)

7. Right click on it and click show in finder

8. Delete all of the kodak app mentions in here

Restart your computer. Your issue should be resolved.

OK this thread is old but this is still a problem,

If you don't use your kodak printer: simply download the software from there website and the .dmg lets you uninstall it

but what if you want to use it, well its actually quite simple,

open finder. go to /Library/LaunchAgents and copy com.kodak.BonjourAgent.plist

go to /Library/LaunchDaemons and paste the file there

then go back to /Library/LaunchAgents and select com.kodak.BonjourAgent.plist and move to trash

restart your computer, notice it no longer asks allow or deny

Additional plusses you now don't have to be logged in to print from that computer if it is shared with other macs or if you use handy print Pro. and the printer is accessible a lot earlier in the boot process!

I keep getting a message on startup saying 'Do you want the application "KodakAiOBonjourAgent .app" to accept incoming network connections?' It says settings may be changed in the Firewall pane of Security? Doesn't matter what I click (Deny/Submit).
