I used 1234 as recommended by another user. I didn’t recall ever setting a PIN for restrictions and now it seems it was set during an up date. I would suggest before resetting phone try the default 1234. Work for me

Restore to a backup (if it was taken when the code wasn't on the device), or reset the device back to factory defaults - for both, first copy of anything that you want to keep

thats not true, you have to edit the plist to reflect the 1234 that does not work...
