i forget my restrictions passcode and i am unable to reset the phone how can i change the passcode

I used 1234 as recommended by another user. I didn’t recall ever setting a PIN for restrictions and now it seems it was set during an up date. I would suggest before resetting phone try the default 1234. Work for me
